From time to time, we all need additional support to gain a deeper understanding of ourselves, strengthen our sense of prudence, and improve our overall wellbeing by focusing on what we can influence here and now - not what is beyond our control.
I offer counselling sessions in which we work together to look into your current challenges and find a way to cope with them in a constructive manner. I want to create a safe space for you where I can support and guide you, providing you with a meaningful and direction-creating experience.
In my counselling approach, I use elements of mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Compassion-focused therapy (CFT), and Somatic Experiencing (SE) modalities.

why
Essentially, the way our upbringing has conditioned our nervous system to respond is the cause of most of our mental health issues. Our development has a decisive influence on our cognitive processes - the way we think, feel, and behave.
Most often, our thoughts, emotions, and actions occur automatically and unconsciously until we encounter a crisis, which can manifest as symptoms such as stress, sadness, anxiety, and depression negatively impacting our lives. Furthermore, unexpected challenges can also impact us in areas where we are unprepared, such as work or school-related distress, employment termination, marital difficulties, divorce, or the loss of a loved one.
Engaging in dialogue with a mental health counsellor or psychologist can help create a new overview/ narrative and help process what has happened to us and within us to make sense of it - as meaning and purpose in life are very powerful elements of human existence, I believe.
